We learned a lot in a completely informal, non-regimented way. We had as much opportunity as we could wish for to handle the bees, and no-one got stung! And the morning was topped off with a delicious lunch of Lisa’s garden produce. After lunch we were treated to a demonstration of frame making, and then the four of us sat round the table with Lisa and Jess to talk bees, with mugs of tea and coffee to hand.
The two young women, Lisa and Jess, are knowledgeable, professional, and extremely good hosts. And I particularly admire their ethical approach to beekeeping and apiary management. All in all, a great and affirming experience. Thank you (and thanks to Jill for sending me there).
